A great day today... I met up with my very first Australian friend, Dany, who I met about 6 years ago during his semester abroad in Pittsburgh. We went to his area of the city and to his local beach, Cronulla. It's really pretty, very non-touristy and full of surfers. 
We went to Star City, a huge casino near Darling Harbour... and I'm happy to report I won $50 at roulette! Cameras aren't allowed in the casino, but I snuck this picture with my two $25 chips and my membership card.
We also went to an observation area at the top of the casino and got some photos of the city.
We wandered through Chinatown too. Tons of little restaurants and shops...but the Chinese food here is a little more authentic than it is in America.... something that takes a bit of getting used to.
An easy day catching up with an old friend... couldn't ask for more.
