The last few days have been pretty relaxed...just hanging out in some beach towns north of Brisbane. The first was Rainbow Beach.. a really really small town. Then I went to Noosa, which is one of my favorites so far. Funky shops and cafes in the town... very uncrowded clean beaches
further out. I spent one day kayaking along the river and most of the rest of the time just hanging out on the bea
ches. These towns are so laid back.. I haven't worn shoes or makeup in days and it feels great.Yesterday, I arrived in Brisbane. It's the first place on this trip that I visited the last time I was
here, so it is cool to see some things that are familiar to me. I haven't had "familiar" in months. The city is nice, laid-back, of course, as everything else is. I was able to meet up with a friend I met on my outback trip so we went out for some drinks and Halloween parties. I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed in the costumes... very few people dressed up. But I can't complain because neither did I. Today we spent the day sightseeing and wandering through the city. We took a ferry ride on the river that winds through the city and walked through the Royal Botanical Gardens.

Last time I was in Brisbane, I got to skydive... which was the most amazing thing ever. But sad to say, I won't be doing it again this time. I am leaving tomorrow and headed for my favorite

You really should be wearing shoes.
I know you know who I'm talking about when I say "Have you been tanning?" and we both know what happens next.
